Driving Directions
The Oakwood Inn is located in Iowa’s Northwest corner, an easy 3-hour drive from Des Moines, IA, Omaha, NE and Minneapolis, MN; and only 90 minutes from Sioux Falls, SD. Celebrate a milestone with a loved one, enjoy an extended weekend with friends as you explore the Iowa Great Lakes, or take pleasure in a brief reprieve on your journey.
Travelling east on I-90: Take the MN Hwy 86 exit. Go south on MN/IA Hwy 86 to the intersection of Iowa Hwy 9 (about 20 miles). Go east on Iowa Hwy 9 to intersection with US Hwy 71. Go south on US Hwy 71 for 1.1 miles (note the blue wayfinding sign for The Oakwood Inn). Go west on Nature Center Road (the Indian dealership is on the east corner) and we are the second driveway on the left (south).
