Before the busy summer season sets in, make sure you set some time aside with your special someone! The best way to do that is to join us at our romantic Iowa bed and breakfast in Okoboji, part of the Iowa Great Lakes Region. The Oakwood Inn is a beautiful hotel offering couples luxury bed and breakfast amenities with welcoming innkeepers, delicious meals, and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and unwind.
Our romantic Iowa bed and breakfast was originally part of an 80-acre homestead in rural Dickinson County—the land was eventually broken up into parcels for sale. The structure, home to the Oakwood Inn, was built in 1999 with Victorian influences. It’s continuously operated as an inn and hotel—the property is ideally located in the Iowa Great Lakes region, just one mile from both West Lake and East Lake Okoboji. In 2016, seasoned hospitality professionals Bill and Bridget Johnson purchased the property. They implemented an extensive renovation and redesigned it into one of the area’s most romantic Iowa Bed and Breakfasts!
As you arrive, our pristine white Inn, surrounded by oak tree savannah and seasonal gardens, stands out as an oasis of peace and respite. You’ll be welcomed with open arms as you step foot into our spacious entryway—take your time to explore our shared spaces or head directly to your private guest room to freshen up. Throughout your getaway to our romantic Iowa bed and breakfast, you can spend your days relaxing here or head out to explore all the best of the Iowa Great Lakes Region nearby.
